Clare Inclusive Researchers Shine
The Clare Inclusive Reserach Group brought their Multi-Media Presentation to the Radisson Hotel and in a sumptuous venue layed on a feast of research feedback alongside other learning disability researchers from around the country. Ger Minogue was MC for the presentation outlining the group's work this year, picking out a number of highlights, including work with the Irish Sex Education Network which led to he and fellow researcher Kathleen Ryan appearing on "Kenny Live" with Pat Kenny. The Group also premiered their second Documentary Film "My Life My Relationships" made with Galway Film Maker Paddy O'Connor and closed with their latest Drama "Leaving Home" which brought out the themes of people's desire to engage in relationships and their occasional struggles with support staff, social work redtape and legal barriers, all ideas raised at their Peer Support Group in Dublin.
