Community Opportunities

Brothers of Charity Volunteer programme

What we do?

We recruit people who give their time in a voluntary capacity to befriend people with disabilities. We hope out of this genuine friendships will develop and that people will develop real friendships and share common interests while having fun with each other.

Why do we do this?

Often times people with disabilities count paid staff as their real friends. Therefore we look to attract volunteers so that people within our services can have the opportunity to meet people outside of the services and enjoy the ordinary things that all of us enjoy.

Who is eligible?

Anyone who has an hour or two to spare from time to time and someone who wants to make a contribution to the betterment of society, in a worthwhile way whilst having a bit of fun.

What area do we cover?

We are based around the county so you can volunteer anywhere in the county. We try to accomadate the volunteers needs as much as possible and therefore make it as accessible as possible for the volunteer.
