Training & Development

The Training and Development Department in Clare enables and supports the development of a learning organisation that is open to evolving new ideas in service development and committed to implementing the best of current national and international good practice.
We value a high level of staff commitment, expertise and experience and therefore, are committed to providing opportunities for ongoing personal and professional development.
Training and Development plays an important role in supporting the organisation achieve its Vision, “Love and Respect for all toward a full and valued Life”.

In addition it supports the organisation in implementing its strategic/operational goals and objectives, to meet the identified priorities of the people receiving services and supports, through a number of service activities.

1. The implementation of quality systems to meet and ensure compliance with the National Standards for Residential Services For Children and Adults with Disabilities, The Health Act 2007, The Care and Support of Residents in Designated Centres for Persons (Children & Adults with Disabilities) Regulations 2013 and The Interim Standards For New Directions, Services & Supports for Adults with Disabilities 2015.

2. In 2019 the Clare Services in conjunction with the Brothers of Charity Services Limerick commenced the process toward accreditation with The Council for Quality and Leadership (CQL) and the Personal Outcome Measures Quality System.

3. The promotion of the personal and continuous professional development of staff in the services with particular reference to the vision of the organisation and to international best practice.

4. A range of organisational development projects that promote and support individuals to achieve their personal goals and dreams and direct their own lives.
